MID Services: Scanning: MID provides quality scanning services to CD-ROM and magnetic media. We support over 20 formats including Alchemy, File Magic Plus, KeyFile and LaserFiche to name a few. We scan a variety of document types, from checks to greenbar. Our production facility is equipped to scan up to 11x17 documents. We have the ability to import large format documents, and ASCII delimited text with images. A duplicate CD is stored on-site in our vault at no extra charge to further secure our clients documents. Indexing: MID utilizes PaperFlow and PaperVision software to provide clients up to 25 index fields to search by. If a client has an existing database, we can convert that information to populate the retrieval database at great savings. All indexing is user-defined. No preset fields to work around. The client determines the fields to search by. Microfilming: MID offers 16mm and 35mm roll and fiche film, CAR (Computer Aided Retrieval), daily, weekly, monthly, and annual services. OCR (Optical Character Recognition): MID uses a powerful OCR engine to convert images to assorted file formats. We can take that typed manual or letter, OCR the pages, and save it as a MS Word or WordPerfect document for a fraction of the cost to retype. We offer formatted and unformatted files. OCR also offers full text retrieval which allows you to search an entire project for any word or phrase within any document. Back File and Day Forward Conversions: MID supports our clients with combinations of timely conversions. For instance, if you prefer to scan in-house from day forward, we can scan and index the backfiles for integration. Some clients out-source documents to us on monthly, quarterly and annual schedules. Think of us as an extension of your records management department. Quality Control: All production is checked for quality before it is delivered. Back Up: MID stores a back up of all production media in a fireproof vault.
